The Orchid City Brass presents a classic brass band concert of everything from the classics to jazz. There will surely be something for everyone in the family in this “Brass Spectacular”

The program includes a variety of musical styles, including popular favorites like the music from the James Bond Films, West Side Story, LeRoy Anderson’s Serenata, and a march by Sousa.

Featured on the program will be a world premiere of a new brass band arrangement of the Carnival from H. Owen Reed’s La Fiesta Mexicana by David Gibble.

Rounding out the program are works that are well known in the British brass band tradition by Edvard Gregson and William Rimmer. The main course is a grand contest work titled Diversions on a Bass Theme by George Lloyd, one of the most challenging works in the brass band literature.  The whole thing caps off with a grand finale from Respighi’s The Pines of Rome
